I liked the contrast of the diaphanous moth on the purple liatris in my mother's front yard. My sister, however, informed me that the moth had developed from a worm that attacks apple trees (there are three crabapple trees in that same yard). So... when you see the moth, the damage has already been done. But the moth is still pretty! I'm linking up with Nature Footstep memes---in particular, Winged.

Evelyn, I have never seen anything like this!
Those wings are amazing, and this photograph is really beautiful.
Gorgeous shot, love the color!!
That moth reminds me of a ghost! Love this!
I think it is still very lovely and the contrast with the purple is just beautiful.
It is pretty - but too bad it damages apple trees - nature at work, I guess.
Wow! Fantastic photo ~ love the butterfly and flower ~ ethereal feel to the butterfly ~ (A Creative Harbor)
You truely do amazing things with that camera of yours.
Just checking back for any new posts you may have written.
I’ve been a follower on your blog for a while now and would like to invite you to visit and perhaps follow me back. Sorry I took so long for the invitation.
Lovely shot!
What a beautiful picture and the moth does look rather "ghostly" (easier to spell than that "d" word). :)
Beautiful butterfly and a gorgeous capture!
Lovely shot. And my favorite color. Perfect.
nice to see a butterfly in my NF Wings meme. Thanks for joining. :)
a friend of mine would love this photo, every time she visits her mother's grave she sees a white butterfly, she's convinced its a sign from her mother ... hey who am i to argue
