The Wire Gate

A standard fixture on fenced range or farmland is the wire gate. It is a convenient closure, but it can also be a pain in the neck when the gate is difficult to pull and stretch enough to get that wire loop over the top of the gate post. Sunday afternoon, I took the pickup and my camera for a drive on Cricket Flat north and east of town, where there are many wire gates of wood and barbed wire, even a metal pipe support here and there.

You are so gifted at photographing fences and barbed wire! I try to take the same photos and they just look ho-hum. Love these!

LOVE those gate shots and I know what you mean, they are often much (MUCH) easier to open than close, been there done that!
