Today wasn't our first snow, but it was real....and it covered bare branches and twigs, resulting in a fabulous lacy effect. The temperature hovered right around freezing all day, and tonight it's dropping fast. The pink hawthorn tree's red berries just pop under the snowy layer and the colorless sky. It's time for Texture Tuesday.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Evelyn. :)
So pretty!! <3
such a lovely image you almost make me wish we had snow...but I know we will have plenty of it before much longer
Oh, I love this!
This is lovely and inspiring.
This would make a beautiful Christmas card!
How beautiful, always love red in an image and this really pops. I wonder if my son got snow in Wilsonville, they are telling me they don't usually get that much. My grandkids would be so happy if it did.
Nice how the red berries are popping out of the snow!
As much as I'm a little tired of the snow already, I do love the pop of red these berries provide against the clean white background.
Lovely snow covered berries! It's always a pretty sight.
I love to see snow on berries. So festive!
Love this!
So beautiful, Evelyn. I've got berries just like this. Maybe I'll dump some crushed ice on the branches and pretend. :)
A Christmas Card greeting, perfect.
Perfect! Love the comp!
What a beautiful shot to get me in the Holiday mood! Thanks for sharing.
Those little red berries just pop right off the page, picture perfect!

Beautiful work. We just got our first snowfall of the almost winter here last night.

This is so pretty, Evelyn.
I think it would make a great holiday card.
The little pops of red in the all the white -- lovely! We do tend to be towards the first group of posters. We must be in the same time zone. Beautiful post!
