Truly Miscellaneous

I'm behind with my monthly blog post...so this one is a mix of photos without a real theme.

A road on the south side of Cricket Flat outside Elgin, Oregon...from the east toward the west, looking toward the Blue Mountains

Whitetail does
A dry leaf on a formidable thorn bush
 The road into the wilderness
Baker County....and the magnificent Elkhorn Mountains (east side)
I think this is the "other" side of the Elkhorns as seen from Sumpter
 An "oldie" near Sumpter
This beautiful buck was herding a harem of does
Back to my "back yard"...and the Grande Ronde River at the edge of Elgin
Another trip to the summit of the Blue Mountains on Hwy 204
Snow "fall"...as pretty as any waterfall

I love the first shot with the road, and the ruined barn. Superb photos, Evelyn, really nice.

And such beautiful photos they are! The road in the first looks like it stretches on forever through the landscape, and the road into the wilderness is just the sort I find irresistible. That bush sure does have some wicked thorns on it! The oldie near Sumpter is an interesting and thought-provoking photo. We've enjoyed visiting that area in the past. All your photos double in beauty when clicked for a larger view. I'm transported. The last three are truly gasp-worthy snow photos. The first looks like it could be just a light dusting, or perhaps a good coat of frost. Either way, it's magical. Those towering trees on the summit have the most perfect shape and are so gorgeous against the misty blue. Finally, the snowfall... you were quick to capture that photo! Glorious!
