Macro Flower from last spring

One way to escape the wintertime blahs is to visit Macro Flower Saturday, where Maia gathers the most beautiful floral images.   After seeing her photos of a kalanchoe, I will never look that that rather odd plant the same way again!  Of course, the variety she photographed is different from any that I've seen.

My own flower shot was taken last spring, which seems so very long ago!  A new round of snow and temperatures down to zero and below have pushed the hope of spring farther away, it seems.  Only last week, I was considering buying a bare root rose bush to replace one that I'm sure didn't survive our long winter. That plan will have to wait!

Spring rain on lilacs --- it's an image that brings good memories, and promises of what will come again, eventually.

Oh Evelyn, you are too kind, those flowers are nothing special, but I admit, I'm flattered.
Your beautiful lilacs are speaking about spring, so close and still so far for us too.
We have had more snow this last week as all winter but some day....

This is lovely, Evelyn! I think we need as many reminders that spring is on it's way as possible!

Evelyn congratulations you had the #1 texture twist from last week's challenge!

Oh Evelyn, you can do "drops".
I hate people who can do pictures inside drops :-) 'cause I can't.
I tried and tried.
Too early for lilac, but my garden is showing many signs of Spring. Yours will come too. You can turn over and have another nap till it happens.

What a gorgeous macro Evelyn!
I cannot wait to see these here again, and although I think it may be quite awhile yet, this photograph gives me hope!! :-)

So very beautiful. I'd love to smell their scent right about now. Spring will come, I know it!
