Still playing with layers of textures!

The beautiful Creative Exchange is in a new week, with more wonderful photos.  Thanks again, Lisa!

I know that it's time to move on, but now that I've learned about layers and textures in Photoshop Elements, I have become addicted!  One of the greatest things about it is how I can work with one subject and make it look so many different ways.    Until spring arrives, and there are more interesting things to see outdoors, I have been enjoying supermarket flowers such as these tulips.   I was bemoaning the fact that I didn't have a solid white cloth for the background -- my tablecloths (which I use only for holiday meals) have tone-on-tone stripes.   The cream-colored cloth has stripes, but they are less obvious, and when I started adding textures, it looked like a wonderful draping of canvas or something.

This is so beautiful, Evelyn. What a great composition and processing - I LOVE it! That quote is just perfect - this would make a wonderful card!

Evelyn - This is just BEAUTIFUL!! you are so right about how addicting textures are. As a matter of fact, just using layers is a miracle in itself!!!
I love the work you did on this, and I think the tablecloth was a fantastic idea.

Thank you so much for sharing this today at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!

That's exactly how a card is made by capturing moods to words.

Have a creative week!

A little flower and playing: what more can we ask for. It is a never-ending delight. At least I hope it lasts a little.
Good to see you managed to keep the light of the water in through the texture.

I am so amazed. I am taking an Internet class to help me learn this. I don't seem to be able to figure it out on my own. This image is just beautiful. I'm going to go look at your blog and see what else you have done!
