My choice for
Kristy's Texture Twist is unlike most subjects I've seen lately. I started with a photo I took of the horse ridden by a 'pickup man' at a local rodeo two years ago. I have always loved gray horses, having ridden one of my younger sister's my first summer after high school. Personally, I like the SOOC shot, but I opted to add some gray textures and a 'patina.'
I de-saturated the image and clicked 'colorize' to create a sepia look. Then I added two gray textures at soft light and high opacity. The final texture is called 'patina' with linear burn at 49% opacity. The image has now become vintage.

BEautiful Edit!
though I like both pictures!
Wow, you would never guess this wasn't a vintage image! Great subject and texture twist!!
I just love you edit here.. Those tones look wonerful..
Both are gorgeous! So funny how the same photo can look so different!
I think I like the first look better as I love the color of the bridle. But the second one is a nicely done sepia image! How fun to use textures. My Kim Klassen class starts tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it!
This is really beautiful, Evelyn! In fact, I really love both versions!
Nicely done, I love the SOOC shot! The vintage look is fun too.
