REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Barns, barns, and more barns.....

I'm surprised Tricia's Barn Charm barns aren't under water, considering all the flooding that part of Missourah is experiencing!   However, she has some real beauties posted this week.

I found this barn yesterday after church, when I took a meandering drive out in the country while DH was golfing.  This barn is at the bottom of a hill....above it is a burned-out house.   The barn seems to be in excellent condition, and I've decided I need to find out who owns it.  Maybe I can climb through the fence and visit it someday!   I played around with textures, but it was the first blue-sky day in "forever," so I left the photo au naturel, other than a little "framing."

It's a lovely barn, and I like that you left it alone.

It looks in great shape! I like how 'tight' and boxy it is! :)

I can't tell if the red is just worn off or it is naturally this color. I love it brown. I like the 1st photo a lot! Is that an old tractor off to the right? That would make a great study too.

That is a fine looking barn...and I love the one from above that shows a bit of the surrounding country.

What a charming barn...I'm glad you didn't do anything to it.

Very cool find! Glad you kept the colors, especially the blue sky. The framing is very nice.

You spelled it like I do... Missourah! LoL! That's so funny & thank you, too!!! =)

I said it last week when the forecasts started looking better, but I'll say it again... hopefully it's going to get better from here on out - There's only a slight chance of rain forecast for a couple days this week, so here's to hoping!

They DID blow the levee in several different spots last night & flood 130,000 Missourah acres to save Cairo, IL... haven't heard anything else about it though... Missourah farmers sure ain't happy, to say the least!!!

But, you have an excellent & beautiful barn shot & just get a load of that view! OMGosh! I know what you mean about the blue sky... it's a welcome addition!!! =)

Thank you

This barn is lovely and unusual in that it appears to be brown and not painted red or yellow or blue or grey!

Lovely,
Very Swiss somehow.
You climbed all the way up there?
I'm glad you left it natural. That suits is well.

Thanks for visiting my blog. :-)

I've never been to the round-up either. I've heard it's so popular now that it's hard to attend without making plans months in advance. As for Mt. Hood, I had never been until my late 20's. My my husband took me up during the summer months. It is definitely worth seeing at any time of year.
