My New York cup

When I visited NYC for the first time a year ago, I really wanted some kind of souvenir of the city (Brooklyn, actually) our oldest son calls home.  I bought two black and white photos of the Brooklyn Bridge after we walked across it one day.  But imagine my surprise months later to find a New York coffee/tea cup in a new little gift shop right here in my rural Oregon town.   It's my choice for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday challenge....a texture photo featuring a cup.  My entry is a double-dip.

My Facebook photo album of our trip (just a sampling of the photos I took!):

These are both great! The first one is lovely, and I like the feel of the last one a lot.

The cup must have been an unusual surprise and a great find, Evelyn. Love the second photo with the added items from NY. Very cool!

Both images are great but I find myself drawn to the second one in particular. What a fun find the cup was.

Gorgeous mug! I love the softness of the first with it's beautiful flowers.

I also love the second image, with it's more gritty background & use of memorabilia.

Lovely images for Texture Tuesday!

My husband works in Brooklyn so I have been over that bridge many times. When my son got married, we had a terrific view from the wedding reception too...it's such an interesting bridge. Hope you enjoyed your trip to NY.

You did a lovely job with texture on this. The roses really set it off too.

Great texture. Great memory story. Kids out of state, good to have a cup around for a reminder one can put their hands around.
