Twisting with a Texture or Three

Kristy's Weekend Texture Twist gives me the first opportunity to play with a photo of one of my peonies.  The name is "Rose Crystal," an early-blooming single peony.  All the rain we've had isn't friendly to peony blooms, which soak up water and flop over.    There was a sunny period today, and I took advantage of it.    I've used Kristy's  "Antique Cool"  for three layers of this process, each time with soft light blending mode.  In between, I've de-saturated the color and increased contrast with a layers adjustment.

Evelyn that is gorgeous! I love the depth at the sides of the photo {with the greens} and the center of flower looks as if it were floating in a river bed - just beautiful! ~ Happy Holiday Weekend!

Striking picture Evelyn.
The flower really stands out and seems to come forward.

Ohhh I don't remember ever seeing a white peony around here... mom has some huge pink ones (or did have but they're gone now)

Beautiful creation, Evelyn! =)
