Kim Klassen's "Texture Tuesday" is definitely a favorite with those of us who follow her. Today, she challenged us to create a "vintage" image including at least one of her textures. I couldn't decide whether I wanted that sepia tone or a washed-out white tone, so I tried both.
The original image was textured with Ben #6 and two layers of Ben #5. Then I used the Lo-Fi application, which includes odd terms such as "cheap lens," "oldachrome," and "gritty."
Ben #6, Ben #5x2, Lo-Fi faded, cheap lens, scallop frame
Ben #6, Ben #5x2, Lo-Fi oldachrome, gritty, vignette

I love both the effects on this one Evelyn. Very nice work.
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous vintage feeling.... beautiful texture!
Couldn't choose one over the other if I had to ... both enchant.
great composition - lots of interesting contrasts. I prefere the 1st one but interesting to see the difference
It's really hard to decide - I love both versions! Wonderful texture work, Evelyn!
I love the first one. The frame, tones and texture in the image are amazing. Nicely done.
How fun! Wish I had time today to participate in Texture Tuesdays. I'm so behind on everything! Love what you submitted.
Evelyn,
Thanks for taking the time to show us 2 different edits. I like them both, but my fave is #2.
I can appreciate both, but my heart goes to the second. I just love the soft pink!
Amazing what these textures can do to everyday objects. Beautiful work!
These are both beautiful Evelyn, but I think I like the second one best. It has a silvery tone to it that I just love.
Fantastic work!
Fantabulous shots & processing... I love them both! =)
This theme has been so much fun. Love what you did!
both your images are awesome, but i'm rather fond of that border on the first...vintage & all...
These are both gorgeous,Evelyn- the composition is beautiful too!
Very nice work! love the textures on both but I like the first one best!
I can't decide which one I like better. They are both excellent! Love the mum -- great addition.
They both look great! I love the frame on that first one.
Wonderful images. I love that blue.
You did an awesome job!
Beautiful shot Evelyn, I really do love it, so vintage. I don't know which I like more they are both so great.
Hiya Evelyn,
I am in awe of the work that goes into your edits: one layer is a venture to me, and adding a mask is pushing it :-)
I prefer the clarity of the second one.
Arranging the components must be fun as well.
Do you print off any of these?
So gritty and great! I love that bottle!
Wow, this is gorgeous. I forget to duplicate textures and it think it can make all the difference. I really like the bottom image for some reason. The focal point stands out a bit more.
Oh - these are wonderful! Texture Tuesday has added "flowers" to my grocery list. See you on Texture Tuesday.
