Words and Textures

It's Texture Tuesday in Kim Klassen's Cafe'....how do people post so quickly?  Our challenge this week is to add words to our textured images.

"Subtly Yours" was my texture of choice for this photo: after some slight de-saturation, I applied "Subtly Yours" three times---twice with soft light at 100% opacity and once with multiply at 50% opacity. (I erased texture from the blossoms after each layer.) The text was added in Picnik because I can control longer quotes more easily.

The quotation is so appropriate for the many of us who have experienced a very long winter.

This is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing how you used this texture. Will give this "recipe" a try as our lilacs are just starting to bloom.

I love your quote. We too have had a long winter and can appreciate these words!

This is lovely! I think your texture work brings out the beauty of this white lilac. If we could all remember the words of Anne Bradstreet I think their would be more appreciation and less complaining. Wouldn't that be wonderful.

Happy T.T.

Peace!

I had to smile - I wonder about how others post so quickly as well. Gorgeous photo - I love the contrast of the white blooms against those beautiful greens. Your processing enhances the shot in a magical way.

Another beauty Evelyn. The quote could not be more appropriate for Oregon this yr. We need to keep that in our minds to make it thru this wet and cold spring. This brightens the day for sure.

How pretty, Evelyn. And yes, for us who live a little further north than some, winter makes the spring that much sweeter. :)

Here's another image I thought I'd commented on... I swear, I must be getting up in the middle of the night, turning on my computer, & clicking on blogs, then when I visit them the next day, they look so familiar! So weird! =)

It's very beautiful & the texture is another perfect fit! =)
