Fences....all shapes and sizes, serve a variety of purposes, and the whole range can be found on Friday's Fences. I pulled out a photo I took in August in Oregon City, Oregon, a city established in 1829 that served as capital of the Oregon Territory from 1848-1851. Several historic neighborhoods have been preserved. I'm envious of this beautifully fenced corner lot!

I love old fences and this looks like a beauty.
for a city fence, this one's really nice!
Love the long perspective you've captured in this photo--and how fortunate that the shadows cooperated as well. This would be a great neighborhood to call home.
oh yes it looks not only beautiful, but well made and sturdy construction. The fencer knew what he was doing ...great photograph Evelyn.
looks very nice this white fence!
that is a lot of fence. white pickets hold a whole lot of charm. I love that this one is raised so high above ground level. it's beautiful. happy weekend to you Evelyn.
I love picket fences, unfortunately we dont have that here, just the ugly brown ones. What an interesting subject to photograph
