Dahlias---they are such beautiful flowers, but I don't want to mess with digging up bulbs in the fall. So I'll enjoy others' ambition. Someone planted dahlias in front of the post office in a neighboring town, and they are in beautiful bloom right now. I got my flower "fix" today, so I'm linking up with I Heart Macro again.
I'm using this dreamy dahlia in the rain for Week 42 of the P52 Challenge, too.

Oh my goodness!!!! This is just beautiful. Thank you so much for joining us. I adore your photography.
Absolutely breathtaking picture of the dahlia. My goodness, it took my breath away!
I have a passion for dahlias and this macro is out of this world. Congratulations Evelyn; this would have to be a winner in any photographic show.
Stunning! I love Dahlia's too and have some in my garden. Sometimes they actually survive winter without digging up the bulbs (which I agree is a pain). I had 2 this year that I really hope weather the winter as they were divine just like your photo.
Gorgeous macro! The colors are amazing. You are such an artist!
Absolutely gorgeous, Evelyn! The image is perfectly framed and the colors are luscious!
just stunning, at first it looked like a painting...wonderful photo....
Stunning! The color! The texture! Everything about this photo is awesome!
Loved when I saw this on Flickr. Like, immediately. :)
Delicious. The deep rose centre makes it such a special image. BTW, I plant my Dahlias VERY deep, like three feet, and leave them in over the winter. So far I seem to get away with it.
Simply beautiful Evelyn!
Thank you!!
Nick
My dahlias are very happy now, too. Beautiful image. I didn't know you could dig up the bulbs in the fall and keep them...hmmmm I may have to try that.
There is everything to love about this beauty. The colors are beautiful and the raindrops...wow!
Beautiful, Evelyn!
PS -- the flower in yesterday's post was a cosmos. :)
Stunning!
