A Street-side Beauty

As in yesterday's post, I'm sharing another of the beautiful dahlias blooming in front of a little post office.  As with every city around here, a state highway runs through the town, and this particular community got pretty new sidewalks and and street "furniture" last year.   The post office landscaping had to be moved for the project, but the Master Gardener who has that area as her project added perennials to the site, as well as these beautiful dahlias. "Go around the block and stop in front, please," I instructed my husband, who was driving.  It didn't take me long to snap two dozen photos.  I'm joining in with the ever-lovely Creative Exchange on Lisa's blog.  (Today, her image and narrative are about "Kitty," the independent "stray.")

This is so beautiful, Evelyn! I haven't seen yellow dahlias this year - such a great colour! And beautiful how those water droplets shimmer!

Gorgeous! Love the waterdrops on the Dahlia. Isn't it amazing how fast and how many photo's we can snap once we get started.

So pretty! I know you will be glad when you are completely mobile again and not relying on hubby to drive you around for photos. I admire your determination to get a fresh photo every day. :)
