REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

How Fun is this???

I just had to post this image....simple barbed wire on a gate to farmland near my home.  I hadn't been out with a camera for two days, and there really wasn't much light left when Hubby and I finished taking down the Christmas decorations at church.  Where do I go?  Out to the cemetery road, a location out of town.  The image of the barbed wire is interesting to me in its SOOC state.  But play with the Topaz Simplify (after a couple of RadLab actions) ...and I LOVE it!  It becomes a painting!   (My new blog header is a view of my little town from that same cemetery road....also edited with Topaz, but this time with the Adjust program.)

your new blog header is delightful Evelyn; a beautiful scene. The barbed wire with edits sure looks good.

Evelyn, this image is WAY cool! Wow!! So glad you took your camera out today - because you've captured a work of art with it. :) I have no idea what Topaz is, but I do have Rad Lab and love it. This is really awesome, though. You are certainly discovering wonderful things about yourself through your photography. Well done and KUDOS to you! :)

I don't know what it is about a barbed wire fence, but I'm always drawn to them. Maybe it reminds me of my grandparents' farm. Anyway, the colors here are really special. I like the way the action made the background look like a painting, but kept the integrity of the wire. Nice job. :)

That is amazing! I don't know about any of the editing "stuff" you mention but it makes gorgeous
effects.
