Sweet Shot x Two

Having abandoned Darcy's P52 project after one week because of my lack of imagination when it comes to theme photography, I'm joining up with her Sweet Shot Tuesday again.   My choice is an image I took on a walk  after our first snowfall this winter.  Then I edited it with Topaz Adjust and a little HDR....and then went more extreme with Topaz Simplify and Cartoon.

A beautiful shot to begin with and love your playful approach when editing Evelyn!

I love this photograph and a very unique cartoon edit (never seen that before). I struggle with prompts too. I've chosen to do p52 with paint the moon as she offers two different prompts each week. So far I've been able to come up with something for one of the prompts each week.

I love the second one. I don't do well with prompts they just seem to freeze my creativity

really interesting edits (and initial photo). What is the HDR?

I'm with you on the prompts, and I truly wish I were better at such things, but...
This is a beautiful image, and the Topaz gives it such a different look. The wonder of of software!!

Love the composition of the shot and isn't it so much fun playing with those tools! Great images!

So far I have managed to come up with ideas for Project 52. It is challenging though and last week it was the last minute thing! I need something to make me think as I was kind of in a rut after my drives crashed and lost my photos. I like the treatment you used on your photo. It looks like a painting now. It's cool!!

Well, don't feel bad -- I found out I can't run two blogs at once, even if one if them is just photos for a 366 project.

Love these images -- the blue and the red go so well together. :)

Gorgeous image before the edit. Great composition. I love the contrast of the snow on the red berries.
The cartoon edit is great.

Evelyn, don't feel badly about it. It is hard to do "themes" and I am struggling with it myself - this week more so than ever. Phew! It can be really tough at times! I am not good at setting up shots, so I run into snags there all the time. Ugh! At any rate, I love that you've joined Sweet Shot, because I love your work and I find your style of photography to be very intuitive - which also translates into your being, very creative as well. :) xo
