Extra Tuesday in 2014.... Sweet Shot Tuesday
Kent Weakley's Project 52 is over for the year, but today is the last Tuesday---another Sweet Shot Tuesday. I've chosen a snow image because we're having winter. It's an old barn that looks totally different in the snowy landscape. (I'm happy we're going to start another Project 52 next week!)

Project 52 2014 #44
I drove several miles around and up out of our valley one foggy morning, anticipating some foggy images. When it came down to choosing one for my Project 52 book, however, it wasn't a foggy one at all. I'm a country girl, and this photo speaks to me: country scenery, barbed wire, and colorful lichen on the old fence post. I'm adding this image to Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Week 20 of Project 52
I was able to watch a photo session involving two of my 20-something nieces: the photographer is a jewelry designer and the model is her cousin, a law school student at UC-Berkeley. The background was the beautiful Wallowa Lake, the jewel of our home county. I stood in the background to capture some of the action. I'm linking up with Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Week 17 of Project 52
Sunny tulips mean that Spring has truly arrived. Sunny tulips also mean the deer haven't eaten them! This is my choice for Week #17 of Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Week 9 of P52
I'm without PS Elements, which "hosts" nearly all my plug-ins for editing. Who knows when I'll figure out why Elements quit working initially, and why subsequent updated versions (2 of them) quit working after 12 hours. But The Complete Works of Shakespeare and some flowers make a simple, quiet image.

Week 8 of P52
A creamy white Gerbera daisy with an edit called "White Chocolate" is my choice for the eighth week of Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday for 2014.

Snowy Mountain Pass
It has been a mild winter...but some serious snow appeared in late February. A two-lane state highway crosses the Blue Mountains of NE Oregon at 5120 feet in elevation where the snow depth measured 92 inches this day. Linking up with Kent Weakley's P52 Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Sweet Shot Tuesday and P52
I've been posting a series of Gerbera photos the past few days; the inspiration for the series originated with this particular image. It's time for Sweet Shot Tuesday and Project52.

Sweet Shot P52
I took this photo a couple of days early; it's a horizontal version of one I posted earlier---a grove of hybrid poplar trees on a 28,000 acre farm in a desert area near the Columbia River. It's my Sweet Shot Tuesday and P52 choice for week 4.

P52 Sweet Shot Tuesday
Away from the ice and snow temporarily to some bright-colored Gerbera daisies from the grocery store. The image is framed with Steve Rich's MJBlur frame. It's time for Week 3 of P52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday!

Pink Sweet Shot for Tuesday
Spring-flowering street trees were temporarily brightening a dreary Brooklyn neighborhood when we visited our son in New York last week. (Topaz Simplify, Pixlr-o-matic frame) Visit Darcy's Sweet Shot Tuesday for many sweet shots.

Another Sweet Shot of Kennedy Anne
Three-year-old great-niece Kennedy....a great subject for even a point-and-shoot camera as she re-told the story of Sleeping Beauty. This was the last of 28 images---a Sweet Shot for Tuesday.

Miss Kennedy aka "Roo" or "Ruby"
A year ago, I was taking many photos of my great-niece Kennedy, because I was the fill-in babysitter. However, the childcare situation has stabilized so I don't see this precious little girl as often as I would like. She is now 3 years old. (For The Creative Exchange and Sweet Shot Tuesday)

Clematis in February
Winter has been strange...even bizarre...this year. Snow in early November and then none until a storm in January that left more than a foot of the white stuff, which heavy rain soon melted. We've had wind, more rain, fleeting snowflakes, but not what we would call winter weather. At the end of my front porch, clematis vines and leaves still hang where they climbed last summer. I'm linking up with Texture Tuesdays and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Hiding in Plain Sight
A short Sunday drive took me past a small bunch of horses of various colors. I was particularly taken by this black and white paint: the spots were especially unusual. When I brought the photo to my monitor, the horse and the background blended together, aided by afternoon sun behind the scene. I've made it my choice for Sweet Shot Tuesday.
