Winter has been strange...even bizarre...this year. Snow in early November and then none until a storm in January that left more than a foot of the white stuff, which heavy rain soon melted. We've had wind, more rain, fleeting snowflakes, but not what we would call winter weather. At the end of my front porch, clematis vines and leaves still hang where they climbed last summer. I'm linking up with Texture Tuesdays and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Great shot and texture work!
Super textures, looks great.
Winter has been crazy for us too! 65 degrees one day and snow the next! Beautiful picture and I love the texture!
Simple, yet elegant and fragile beauty.
oh, i LOVE the browns of winter! nicely done!
Love the tones and textures!
This is truly so beautiful Evelyn!
It never ceases to amaze me that plants and flowers can be just as beautiful when not in their prime, as when they are.
There is beauty in decay, and your image illustrates that! I hear you about this winter -- strange. I'm not complaining, mind you...it's nice to have a break from constant snow all winter!
i love to photo the linger bodies of summer. this is beautiful. they are beautiful in their death. love it!!!
Just lovely Evelyn!
Lovely detail and colour tones . . . .beautiful . . .Teresa x
This is just wonderful, Evelyn! I love everything - the composition, the tones, the processing, the quote!
Our winter was so strange, too. Can't wait for spring to come, but no sign of it yet!
This is beautiful, love your texture work as always!
Elegant and lovely!
Beautiful shot! Our weather has been strange here, too. We had snow in October, than one or two "dustings", but that's it. The tags are still hanging from my daughter's snow boots! :)
Love this image, Evelyn! So subtle in its beauty... (An aside - I noticed you're a retired HS English teacher, I want to thank you and give you kudos for doing a difficult job on good days and nearly impossible on hard days! I've been driving school bus for 13 years...driving a 40' transit style bus, getting all those kids to school and home daily!)
I love the tones of this shot! Beautiful!
Oh my goodness, this is so beautiful, Eveyln! The photo, the texture, the quote...it all comes together perfectly.
The detail is astounding, the texture lovely, and the poem fitting. Thank you for sharing!
You make them look beautiful, Evelyn. :)
It has indeed been a strange winter. My Clematis (which I cut back) is starting to show some leaf buds already. - This is a lovely composed piece of art, I like the sentiment you used with it.
Beautiful with the washed out color.
