This is really a gate, rather than a fence, but I assure you that there is a fence attached---all the way around this jewel of a property. The gate, which seems to be painted metal, was shining in the February sun yesterday. The property is owned by someone who lives elsewhere during the winter, but he has his little piece of the Wallowa Mountains wilderness carved out and fenced off. It's my choice for
Friday's Fences.
(After my initial post, I decided to add a photo of the ranch that's behind the gate and down the road; I used this image for Barn Charm last year.)

Wow...how beautiful n unique all in one!
Amazing, someone had a lot of time on their hands to make this beautiful fence/gate
what gorgeous stone work. that makes me want to learn how to ride a horse. they are such large creatures though. kind of scare me. they could step on me. eeek!! kidding. thank you, for sharing with us at barn charm. always fun. (:
What a wonderful find!
The stonework is beautiful and I think the gate would have been more suitable if it had been a burnished copper or plain metal to match the rusty stone. I think this mural-like one distracts from the natural beauty of the place. :)
Unique gate. I love the stone wall.
WHOA! That really IS a fancy fence!
Now that is a fence...with a different sort of gate!
Wow! Great fence and stonework. Love what's beyond the gate. So glad you shared it. Blessings.
