REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Rural Hopping

I'm a farm girl who hasn't lived on a farm for almost 50 years!  I lived on the Oregon coast and on tiny islands in the western Pacific, but for the last 35 years, I've lived in a rural community just 25 miles from where I grew up.  When I look for photographic subjects, I often drive into the "country," which is actually  close to my house. Today, it was the "loop" through farmland from Indian Creek to Willow Creek and back home by the (rural)  highway 84.   It's even better when I convince my husband to drive for me, as he did this afternoon.   I'm happy to join in on the new Rural Thursday blog hop.

New to the neighborhood

A "portable" loading chute...just parked along the country road

Sturdy--but tilting--rockjack

I just love your new header of those tall grasses in the late afternoon sun. Glorious!

I was amused to see that friendly donkey face looking back at me. There is something endearing about donkeys Well, until they open their mouths to communicate! Eeeeeks!

Beautiful afternoon drive. I have a loading chute similar to that one, but I think any animals would fall through the bottom it's so old.
