I'm a farm girl who hasn't lived on a farm for almost 50 years! I lived on the Oregon coast and on tiny islands in the western Pacific, but for the last 35 years, I've lived in a rural community just 25 miles from where I grew up. When I look for photographic subjects, I often drive into the "country," which is actually close to my house. Today, it was the "loop" through farmland from Indian Creek to Willow Creek and back home by the (rural) highway 84. It's even better when I convince my husband to drive for me, as he did this afternoon. I'm happy to join in on the new
Rural Thursday blog hop.

I was amused to see that friendly donkey face looking back at me. There is something endearing about donkeys Well, until they open their mouths to communicate! Eeeeeks!

i think farming is in your blood, you either have it or you don't!!
Beautiful afternoon drive. I have a loading chute similar to that one, but I think any animals would fall through the bottom it's so old.
That looks like a great place to go and browse for some lunch. I'd really like that tall grass!
That last shot of the sunlit grass is beautiful! But they're all good, of course!
Wonderful shots. I really like the last one a lot. Though that Donkey is pretty cute.
