Lisa's "essay" on finding the story behind a photographic image made me think....do I have a story for my photographs? Do I have a story for ANY of my photographs? I'll be considering that question.
Meanwhile, I have chosen a brightly colored image for this week's Creative Exchange. Although I drafted my husband to take me on a relatively short drive in the country (muddy roads and all) after church and before the Super Bowl, none of my photographs pleased me enough for Lisa's meme. It's still the "blah" period here....almost monochromatic outdoors... and the images I recorded today made me feel "blah." Not so with the "Bliss Bouquet" of red-orange flowers from the grocery store that I photographed two weeks ago. For awhile today, my monitor featured wonderful color that erased the "blahs."

Great color in this shot! It's the first thing that grabbed me in this shot.
What a lovely bouquet...gorgeous colors and composition.
A wonderfully rich image, I love oranges (the colour of creativity!)and the composition.
so beautiful - I really love the color of these!!!....have a great week!! :)
This photo is absolutely gorgeous .. I love the detail and the colors Evelyn.
i totally understand the 'blah' factor. we're starting to pull out of that a bit here with greened up grass and some waterfowl returning. :)
Beautiful, Evelyn, very beautiful! One of my fave colors is dark orange =)
Im lacking inspiration here also. We had snow over the weekend but the light has been so flat. Your colourful image put a smile on my face. Red is such an uplifting colour. With regards your 'story' question. I think there is a story always behind the image its not always as obvious to others though.
Beautiful picture, I like the colors and all the fine details.
I am struggling to find anything to photo here. Although it snowed over the weekend the light is so flat and uninspiring. Your burst of colours really cheered me up. Its amazing how a colour can change the way you feel. With regards your question of 'story' I think there is always a story behind the photo is not always obvious to others.
Love the colours here!
Wonderful color and composition -- I am really attracted to orange these days. February just requires bright colors.
Beautiful color, and beautiful shot.
Love some bright colors, on dull winter days.
Beautiful picture of a lovely orange flower. Thanks for the splash of colour.
What a lovely bright spot of color. Perfect to cheer up the winter blahs (It's so gloomy here right now with cloudy skies and even fog).
Such wonderful colours, Evelyn! I need that, too, right now! Although I can't complain about yesterday's blue sky here. Have a wonderful week and I do hope to catch up again soon with you!
So pretty, Evelyn. :)
How beautiful this is Evelyn, and so perfect for this time of year! Everything here is quite monochrome, and in all honesty, some snow would help, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. I'll just have to wait it out I guess. :-)
Thank you so much for all the wonderful color and cheerfulness today, and for sharing it with us at The Creative Exchange.
Have a great evening!
lisa.
This beautiful shot is the perfect cure for the blahs!
This photo is nowhere near blah, hope you find your story
This gorgeous, vibrant photo definitely helps me lose my winter blah feeling!
bet those colours really bought in some warmth to your home; how beautiful
Very nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
What a beautiful bouquet of Valentine colored flowers. They are gorgeous. You did a wonderful job of placement so the composition would be perfection. genie
