REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Thinking of a Story?

Lisa's "essay" on finding the story behind a photographic image made me think....do I have a story for my photographs?   Do I have a story for ANY of my photographs?   I'll be considering that question.

Meanwhile, I have chosen a brightly colored image for this week's Creative Exchange.  Although I drafted my husband to take me on a relatively short drive in the country (muddy roads and all) after church and before the Super Bowl, none of my photographs pleased me enough for Lisa's meme.   It's still the "blah" period here....almost monochromatic outdoors... and the images I recorded today made me feel "blah."     Not so with the "Bliss Bouquet" of red-orange flowers from the grocery store that I photographed two weeks ago.    For awhile today, my monitor featured wonderful color that erased the "blahs."

i totally understand the 'blah' factor. we're starting to pull out of that a bit here with greened up grass and some waterfowl returning. :)

Im lacking inspiration here also. We had snow over the weekend but the light has been so flat. Your colourful image put a smile on my face. Red is such an uplifting colour. With regards your 'story' question. I think there is a story always behind the image its not always as obvious to others though.

I am struggling to find anything to photo here. Although it snowed over the weekend the light is so flat and uninspiring. Your burst of colours really cheered me up. Its amazing how a colour can change the way you feel. With regards your question of 'story' I think there is always a story behind the photo is not always obvious to others.

What a lovely bright spot of color. Perfect to cheer up the winter blahs (It's so gloomy here right now with cloudy skies and even fog).

Such wonderful colours, Evelyn! I need that, too, right now! Although I can't complain about yesterday's blue sky here. Have a wonderful week and I do hope to catch up again soon with you!

How beautiful this is Evelyn, and so perfect for this time of year! Everything here is quite monochrome, and in all honesty, some snow would help, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. I'll just have to wait it out I guess. :-)

Thank you so much for all the wonderful color and cheerfulness today, and for sharing it with us at The Creative Exchange.

Have a great evening!

lisa.
