Sweet Little Pincushion Flower

"Pincushion" sounds much better than scabiosa, although the latter is the accurate name for this delicate-but-tough flower.   Personally, I love them because they last all summer long and into the late fall in my flower bed.  This particular image is attractive to me because of the pattern of the wooden fence behind it.  I'm linking up with Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Beautiful - and I like the nice effect of the background and I didn't know either of the names for this flower so it's always nice to learn something new!

Scabiosa? What a horrible name. Some man-scientist must've picked that out. Blech. Beautiful photo, though! I do like the exposure of the fence behind it.
