Ice on May 1st

The switch between cold and warm spring generally means clear skies and freezing temperatures.  Nearby grass seed fields have sprinklers operating in cycles around the clock; the hard freeze made for some fascinating images in those bright green fields around the sprinklers.    This is my choice for Kent Weakley's P52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday this week. ( I posted this image previously, but wanted to use it for my P52 book at the end of the year; I really intended to post it only on Flickr, but that's the way my mind works these days!)

Fabulous shot- I like how you can see the water coming out from the sprinklers. Good contrast too!
