The switch between cold and warm spring generally means clear skies and freezing temperatures. Nearby grass seed fields have sprinklers operating in cycles around the clock; the hard freeze made for some fascinating images in those bright green fields around the sprinklers. This is my choice for Kent Weakley's P52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday this week. ( I posted this image previously, but wanted to use it for my P52 book at the end of the year; I really intended to post it only on Flickr, but that's the way my mind works these days!)

Wow - so cool!
I agree! Those icy wheels make for a striking image and I love the blue and white color palette. :)
Fabulous shot- I like how you can see the water coming out from the sprinklers. Good contrast too!
great one, evelyn.
Love this! You certainly captured the chill in the air.
Wow, cool photo!
Very cool photo, but these temperatures on the 1. May are really cold.
That really is a neat picture! :)
Incredible shot. Nature never fails to amaze!
for those of us in non-snow locations, this photograph is most unique and interesting Evelyn
Fantastic image, Evelyn. I love the east side for its extremes and surprises.. like this one. You captured it perfectly!
