Once again, I've managed 5 random facts/observations for Nancy's Random Five Friday.
1. I believe our country is home to a lot of "haters," which makes me sad.
2. In just 9 weeks, I'll finally have a daughter-in-law. I need to find a dress for the wedding
.
3. My mother, who will be 93 in August, is adamant she doesn't want the battery for her pacemaker
replaced when it needs it in a few months. "It hurt last time," she said. She is 100% dependent upon the
pacemaker.
4. I'm still turning on my electric mattress pad at night; we're having another "chilly spell" in the weather.
5. For months, I've been planning to buy a 1TB external hard drive to protect my thousands of photos.
Planning is the extent of it, I'm ashamed to say.

I enjoyed your yellow bird Evelyn
Love your image.. and your random.
Now go buy that hard drive!
It does seem that there are a lot of people who are completely intolerant of others views - it's a little scary. I hope your mom changes her mind, I don't envy you having to argue with a 93-year-old. Good luck on the dress shopping!
Evelyn -- I purchased a 2 TB external hard drive about a year ago to save my photos and it was the best thing I ever did. I still have about 95% space available even after a year. Do it!
Loved your facts today. So happy you shared. xo
That header Photo is AMAZING - I bet I'm not the only person who thinks this is Paradise.
Congratulations! I know the perfect dress will find you . . . although, happy family is the most important.
love & love,
-g-
Nice lil bird shot! AND I HATE Haters...and we had a fire yesterday morning to take the chill off in the house.....
what a lovely photo ! Chilly here too right now...
Love the photo. The wedding will be here before you know it -- go get your dress! Your mother sounds like a feisty lady who knows what she wants. I'll take some of your chilly nights! Happy 5 Day!
Lovely bird photo, and I really like your header photo it is gorgeous. 93 maybe closer to the event she'll relent.. This must be the year of weddings, several friends of mine are out scouting for future MIL dresses, good luck it should be fun.
Love your picture!
#3 made me sad, but i truly understand her wishes. my sis underwent 2 open-heart surgeries as a young woman (due to rheumatic fever as a child). i don't know how she ever faced the 2nd one, knowing how excrutiatingly painful it was. but it gave her several more years - enough to see her daughter have a child. she passed at 47. *sigh*
We do have many haters here, it seems. I so wish it wasn't so. :(
I'm sorry your mother feels that way. I hope she changes her mind, though it must be difficult for her dreading the pain
Lovely photo above!
You need to backup the photos ASAP! I don't envy you the talk you'll have with your Mother. Maybe nowadays the procedure is less painful? Good luck dress shopping!
Love the bird photo. I second and third all the suggestions to back up the photos - I have th 1T external and it is fabulous - and not nearly full and I have thousands of photos backed up on it.
Congratulations on the new addition to the family - hope you find the best dress possible.
I agree with you about the haters - I think it is our job to be non-haters so we can balance - though it seems to take a lot of kindness to counteract some awfully mean haters. So sad.
Hi Evelyn. Congratulations on your new family addition. I thought I'd have a DIL three times already but my son gets fed up and breaks up with the girls...darn. At least they're on my FB. (Yes, it might be my little revenge...lol) Good luck to your mother. I hope things go well for her. Have a lovely weekend, it's been nice visiting you again. :)
Your mother is precious. Wow 9 weeks-whose going to take the photos then lol cant wait to see wedding photos. Hurry up and get that tb before something happens and you lose all your photos God forbid
#1 makes me sad too.
Good luck with the dress shopping, you'll have to share pictures!
At 93, I can understand how your mom feels but still...
Beautiful bird! I 'get' how your feel about your mom's decision. Hard. And yes ... EHD ... now!
Your header is really neat. I love it. Have a great week. Maybe Mom will change her mind soon about the pace maker thing.
external hard drive -- get it -- it gives you more peace of mind..
Hugs
Love your blog header. That is a brilliant view!
will pray they can change your mama's pace maker battery without causing her pain.
