Nectar Love

Hooking up with Ken Weakley's P52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday.  I would love to say I planned this image of the honeybee on the pincushion flower, but it was truly serendipitous (I love that word!). I was sitting on the edge of the wine barrel planter with my new Olympus compact camera, trying to get a macro of the flowers....and there came the bee!

I like that word, too! Your flower shot is awesome. It was meant to bee! Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

How lucky is that, many a times I have tried to get macros of little insects etc and to no avail...ah well I'll try your trick and sit there and pretend to look at something else-my luck may change

What a great shot! I have yet to capture a bee with my camera. Just haven't succeeded, but you sure did!

Great capture, love the detail in the shot. I was trying to take pictures of bees this morning with my Canon camera but couldn't seem to get the bees in focus that well. My old Point and Shoot seemed to work better for those type of photos.

Excellent photo of the bee, but I love your cover photo of the flowers and the barn. Very nice.
