Rural Blog Hop. A truly rural event is a small-town stock show, complete with 4-H and FFA kids and animals, rodeo and horse racing, concession booth with fabulous hamburgers, and a carnival. As a 4-H youngster in the 50's, I showed sheep and cattle here, but I hardly recognized the place. One of my great-nieces, 10-year-old Kaelin, showed her pig, "Porky," in his conformation class.
