Cheerful Sunflower

In the past two years, I've photographed fields of sunflowers....sunflowers grown for their seed.  This year, I can't seem to find any sunflower fields, but I did find a few individual plants while waiting in line at a cute little drive-up coffee shop in tiny Lostine, Oregon.  The Blue Banana sits right on a 90-degree corner in Highway 82 and makes a big variety of drinks for every season.

I used to love to photograph sunflowers, but the farmer that would plant those fields has not planted sunflowers in two years now. Hubby and I planted some next to our garden area this year and not one single one showed it's head above ground. Very disappointed and wondering what is going on with sunflowers in our area. I LOVE your sunflower photo, totally made me smile. xox

Oooohh....nice soft photo of the flower! I like it! I have some sunflowers blooming in my backyard. You're right - they are great photo subjects.
