Last One Standing

One pod of poppy seeds from a pink poppy ... one pod of seeds from a red poppy...that's what I planted last fall with the hope of seeing flowers this summer.  The plants popped up quickly before winter, but only the pink ones grew this spring.  For a time, I've had beautiful coral-colored "double" poppies, but their bloom season is over.   Only one remains. Now I have seed pods to share with my sister and others who think these poppies are just as special as I do. For what might be the first time, I'm sharing with Sunday Snapshot.
(Update:  Squirrels ate every poppy pod!)

Gorgeous -- and who's not to say the red ones won't appear next year! Poppies are funny like that. :)

Wow, Evelyn, this is gorgeous! Most of our poppies are red, and the occasional yellow, or especially pink is such a wonderful treat.
