REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Country Wedding

I really don't care to do wedding photos anymore. I did several years ago (with film), and I think most of those weddings ended in divorce!  I know that I wasn't the cause, but it was disconcerting.  Then I decided that there is just too much at stake with wedding photos.  It was a casual conversation at a roping event ...a young woman was talking about her September wedding and how expensive wedding photographers were. Then she asked if I could "take some pictures" at her wedding.  Hmmmmm .... I reluctantly agreed.  I did find out that two other friends were going to be there with their cameras, however.  For me, the wedding was a simple case of photographing what I wanted to photograph, and I didn't have to do the requisite groups or family photos. The day started with rain, but by 4 o'clock, it was simply overcast and pleasant, perfect for wedding in a field and perfect for photographers.

A cowboy wedding - how cool is that? You got some wonderful images.

You captured the great moments in casuality. Posing spoils most wedding photos IMHO. I like impromptu ones.
Funny about your comment re weddings ending in divorce

You did wonderfully Ev -- I could never, never put myself this situation of capturing someone's wedding. Too much pressure.

Evelyn! You have a knack for this type of photography, it's clear. The sweet moments you captured are wonderful. LOVE the boots on the bridesmaids and how you captured the bride's boot in the last shot. What a beautiful locale for a wedding!!
