Be Still #16 Four Prompts

For our Be Still_52 "lesson" this week, Kim has provided four prompts for us to work with, in addition to techniques for sharper focus.

"Laundry time" was the most difficult for me.  There's really nothing very attractive or romantic about my laundry. One thing I do that might be a bit different is hang my laundered jeans on the back porch.  I don't want to put them in the dryer (increases shrinkage and fading), so I asked my husband to create a clothes line on the ceiling of the porch.  It works well!

"Cuppa" is a good one for me.  I drink a lot of tea and I love to collect pretty cups and mugs.  This particular one was the inspiration for a piece of art work in our newly painted kitchen.  Choosing the cup was the most difficult aspect of this photo session.

"Nature's Bounty" for me is limited right now because, although spring seemed to come early, it isn't really very warm.  In fact, it still dips below freezing many nights during the week.   However, the "red" lilacs have begun to bloom.  It's a reminder that I need to prune after the blooming to encourage flowers closer to the ground, not just at the top of 8-foot shrubs!

"Quiet Corner" is a comfy couch in the living room---a room we generally walk through to get to the rest of the house.  Because of its many tall windows, it's a great place to read.  (The pillow is a reminder of our eldest son, who moved across country to NYC 12 years ago.)

You did the four prompts very well! I especially love the lilac image. The perfume of these flowers is so gorgeous!

I'd love to watch your creative process someday. You inspire me to want to branch out to do different types of photography. All of these are special, creating a wonderful mood.

I like them all, you fulfilled the assignment wonderfully. They are all simple and yet (or rather because of that?) impressive.
