P52 Sweet Shot Tuesday #23

Driving from NE Oregon to Central Oregon takes the traveler through some beautiful mountain scenery to the amazing geologic sites of the John Day Fossil Beds. The highest summit on the route is Dixie Summit at more than 5200 feet. Then the highway starts down into the wide valley below the fabulous Strawberry Mountain, which is 9038 feet in elevation.  Joining with Kent Weakley's P52 Sweet Shot Tuesday.
