Still Life for a Still Life

The beautiful snow has turned to slush; today, the day started with snow, turned to rain, then to icy rain.  It's NOT a day to be outside, and I haven't found a good subject to photograph for a whole weekend.  This past week, however, I spent some time with "petals and props."  I have been learning very basic Lightroom...I just want to learn enough to be able to use presets and do some creative edits, but I still want to rely on PS Elements.  My photography has to be relatively simple for me; I'm doing this for enjoyment, after all.

You have certainly been showing us some beautiful shots of the snow your way. I am sorry that it's turned to slush....These are beautiful shots of the roses....I really enjoy Lightroom and use it more than I do PS. but then I go back and forth as to what I am trying to accomplish with a picture.....

These are beautiful, Evelyn.
I love the softness of each one, especially the second one (my personal favorite).

I would also rather be outside with the landscape, but sometimes that's not possible. It is fun to turn your back on nasty weather, and pull out props and play with still life photography. I love the dried roses and hydrangeas and the wire basket.
