A Sunday Snapshot of a winter landscape

For Sunday Snapshot I considered posting photos of two great-nieces who visited this past week, but some landscape photos I took yesterday won out.    It's 20 miles to 'town' and the Wallowa Mountains are always part of the view.  However, yesterday, there seemed to be a new mountain in the range.   It was a mountain of clouds, and it was really impressive.   Right under that 'mountain' is a canyon where I-84 runs from NE Oregon  on its way to Idaho.   Within an hour or so, the snow started falling and the interstate and a mountain highway were all closed.   I think that 'mountain' was carrying a heavy load of snow!

Beautiful picture of snow filled "mountian". It is amazing when mountains appear in a storm, especially since I live in a mountain free area. I love the snow falling on your blog. Merry Christmas...
