Sunday Snapshot

Our curly-haired great-niece Kennedy visited again today; it's always so much fun to be with her.  She chatters, she questions, she loves to hide under the blanket on her Uncle Rod's lap...and she LOVES to have him kiss her on the back of the neck!   Today, she watched the goldfinches, juncoes, and house finches on the feeders outside the window.   Her visit was just in time for a Sunday Snapshot!

A Sunday Snapshot of a winter landscape

For Sunday Snapshot I considered posting photos of two great-nieces who visited this past week, but some landscape photos I took yesterday won out.    It's 20 miles to 'town' and the Wallowa Mountains are always part of the view.  However, yesterday, there seemed to be a new mountain in the range.   It was a mountain of clouds, and it was really impressive.   Right under that 'mountain' is a canyon where I-84 runs from NE Oregon  on its way to Idaho.   Within an hour or so, the snow started falling and the interstate and a mountain highway were all closed.   I think that 'mountain' was carrying a heavy load of snow!

Sunday Snapshot....on Tuesday

I didn't get to the Sunday Snapshot post until today (Tuesday), and I was glad to see the Linky was still open!  You know those hard decorations for birthday cakes?  Two-year-olds either don't understand 'hard' or they just don't believe you, anyway.   Kennedy had some of those on her second birthday cake.  This is the look of concentration as she tries to figure out that pretty cake decoration that just doesn't taste the way she thought it would!

What is this in my mouth?  It's not what I thought it was!

Sunday Snapshot

I haven't adopted any children....my two sons are grown...and I don't even have any grandchildren, but I do have this darling great-niece, who will be 2 years old on December 1.   Today,  I'm linking up with Sunday Snapshot.

Any yogurt will do!

A Sunday Snapshot for November 7

One more autumn photo of Kennedy for A Sunday
Snapshot.  Oh the delight of a child watching falling leaves!

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.  ~Elizabeth Lawrence

Fun in the leaves......

(Hoping this posts on Sunday Snapshot because I'm doing a delayed post on Friday! Leaving home for a few days.)

The first raking of the thousands of maple leaves that will drop on our lawn before winter....it was only a portion, but the pile was large enough for 2 cousins to introduce almost-2 Kennedy to 'leaf-diving.'  She wasn't sure about it at first, but she picked it up very quickly. (Look at the pieces of leaves in her ringlets!)

There's a face deep in the leaves!

Kennedy's first experience with leaf-diving!

Another Sunday Snapshot of Kennedy

When you aren't quite 2 years old, there's still a lot to learn about an Oreo cookie.  It doesn't take long, though!

A Sunday Snapshot

It takes only a little surfing to find beautiful blogs on the internet, and I found two special photography ones today!  "Sunday Snapshot" is a feature of the Ni Hao Y'all (when East meets West) blog  (Be sure to visit and learn about this amazing family!)

Sunday snapshot is just a way to capture that special someone where they are right now, because we all know time is fleeting... right now will be a distant memory before we know it!

My first Sunday Snapshot is of my 90-year-old mother and her youngest great-grandchild, 21-month-old Kennedy Anne.  Neither one is 'huggy-feely' and they get along very well!  When "Gramma Annie" left her birthday party, the little one ran to hug her goodbye.
