"Yesteryear" is the texture of the week for Kim's
Texture Tuesday challenge this week. Because I've been working with flowers so much, I decided to switch to one of the natural scenes so common in this part of the country. My husband was driving, and I was "riding shotgun" with my camera Sunday afternoon on a back road. When I had him stop so I could photograph some sunflowers at a wire gate, I saw this stand of pine trees beyond the fence.
(I wonder if that's where I acquired the wood tick that I found on my scalp Monday night??? Yuck!)
Two layers of Yesteryear, one at 100% soft light
and the second at 58% soft light.

Just a hint of mint.
I love trees! Your texture choices really add depth to the photo!
This looks gorgeous Evelyn! I feel like maybe I should take a break from flowers too, but sometimes I just can't help myself :)

Gorgeous shot of the pines. The texture adds some nice warmth to it. Great depth of field too.
That is so lovely, and very refreshing to see something other than flowers... although I do love flowers.. you know what I mean! The texture looks lovely and soft.

Oooh, pretty! Great job, Evelyn. Hope you managed to keep the ticks at bay this time. Oy!
Love it. I think we all suffer from a little flower overload this time of year. The trees are a nice change. :)
I've only had two ticks so far this year. Yay!
oh, I never thought to use a shot like this. What a great idea! I'll have to dig through my archives and try some out.
