It's Friday again? That means it's time for the delightful Friday's Fences once more. Janis finds much prettier fences than I've ever seen around here! I recorded two snowy fences this past week on my walk after the first snowstorm. It was calm and quiet, unlike the next storm that blew in with high winds, heavy snow, followed by heavy rain.

beautiful w/ the snowfall!
Stunning, what a great composition.
I have been waiting for a snowfall like this...where it is lays heavy on fences, trees, etc. This is just so beautiful...feeling like I am not going to see this type of snow this year.
This looks like a heavy wet snow...sure glad I don't have to shovel this year!
If that fence gets too much more snow it will only start listing even further!
Evelyn, this is gorgeous! I love all the twigs and and what-not poking through the snow covered ground. What a great capture!
Now then, you've asked what lens I use for my macro shots. I am a Nikon girl, not sure if you shoot Nikon or not, but I use the Nikkor 105mm micro lens. Don't ask me why Nikon calls their macro lenses micros, they just do. Gotta be different I guess. At any rate, this lens takes beautiful close-ups, BUT is a bit heavy - so if I really want to get super close up, I need to use my tripod or I'll get camera shake, even with vibration reduction on. That said, its super for taking portraits as well, gives an incredibly beautiful creamy bokeh background. :)
Looks like this fencing cannot take much more weight from the wet snow....before disaster hits. Beautiful capture. Lovely winter shot. genie
oh, wow... a great shot of the snow & all. perfect view. (:
Kudos for you to still walk in this snow. It looks like it would have been quite bracing. I always want a dog who insists on walking in any weather. He can get me out when I'd rather stay inside and cozy.
An interesting fence -- love the sepia-tones, Evelyn. :)
awesome with the snowfall .... which our landscape is also white this morning! But I'm heading south! woot woot!
Wow that snow must have pushed the fence over
Beautiful. Love the tone you used in this photo.
The sepia treatment is perfect for this wonderful fence photo!
lovely snowy fence photo, I'm joining for the first time this week
There's something about a great fence shot that captures people. This one is one of those shots!
