It's time for
Fridays Fences again, and I have one that causes me to wonder: could this barrier prevent any animal from crossing, or is it just a mark of a property line. (I think pygmy goats could jump this one!) However, there's just something about the character of an old split-rail fence.

a very cool shot but what is it's purpose?? i love the auburn brush and scruffy pines....this fence is made for beauty!!
This fence looks long forgotten! Great shot!
It is a very beautiful picture, but I can't imagine it would keep any of my animals from crossing it.
fabulous! if it didn't take up so much room (and make it nearly impossible to mow near it) i'd want one of my own!
Probably not goats but horses and cattle can be contained with these old rail fences. It's funny I think more of them as Civil War fences marking territory lines more than anything else.
Nice rustic shot!
nice photo of an interesting fence
just for looks, for me! heheheee love those ol fences =)
LOL pigmy goats indeed!!!! love these kinds of fences, so ingenious

I love all your pics. You have quite an eye!!
It's inevitable, a fence doesn't last forever...sometimes they do improve with age just for photo ops...nicely captured!
I reaaally like this. Found you through Friday's Fences. Love your photography. Stunning.
wow! I love, love the composition of this shot! it just leads you into the photo.
Well I'm not sure what it would hold back but it sure does look pretty cool in your shot.

Great split-rail! And I also love your header picture!
Okay, that is the coolest fence I have ever seen. Great capture!
It somehow reminds me of when Pooh and Piglet moved Eeyore's house to the other side of the wood... Makes a great photo, though!
what a lovely shot, beautiful colours
Wonderful photo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I mention love) your banner!!!! Golden weed topper and just a bit of a wire fence. You have a great eye for "rural".
Love that shot, the muted colors and snaking fence... won't you come share on 'Weekly Top Shot?' We're on Week #16 and I'd love to see you share with me and my readers! Here's this weeks' link: http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?p=6115
