A Contrast in Fences in Brooklyn

My husband and I traveled from Oregon to New York to spend several days with our oldest son.  He's a chef in a Greenpoint,  Brooklyn restaurant, and he lives in another Brooklyn neighborhood.  Bushwick is a low-income neighborhood and it boggles my mind that dumpy apartments cost $1200 and more per month.  For today's Friday's Fences, I've chosen two images of contrasting fences in the Bushwick neighborhood.   One surrounds a parking lot; one protects pleasant apartments/condos several blocks away.

Definitely a contrast and a good show of both ends of the spectrum in New York.

I'm noting the bars on all the doors and windows, including the upper floors of the building surrounded by the high, but pretty fence. Wow!

Wow there certainly is a huge contrast between these two fences. I prefer the later!
