My husband and I traveled from Oregon to New York to spend several days with our oldest son. He's a chef in a Greenpoint, Brooklyn restaurant, and he lives in another Brooklyn neighborhood. Bushwick is a low-income neighborhood and it boggles my mind that dumpy apartments cost $1200 and more per month. For today's Friday's Fences, I've chosen two images of contrasting fences in the Bushwick neighborhood. One surrounds a parking lot; one protects pleasant apartments/condos several blocks away.

i like that building 'insert' in the 2nd shot.
That is quite a contrast!
good old Brooklyn
all barbed wire is decorated with plastic bag remnants
sweet little house
how cool that your son is a chef
1st shot - ouch! 2nd shot ... a really decorative fence - love it!! (:
Definitely a contrast and a good show of both ends of the spectrum in New York.
That is certainly a contrast in fences AND neighborhoods!!
what a contrast...
it perhaps depicts the standards of living or styles of living...
What a contrast between two neighbourhoods..
Well captured
Great shots...life in the big city is quite different n expensive $$$$$$
I'm noting the bars on all the doors and windows, including the upper floors of the building surrounded by the high, but pretty fence. Wow!
Wow there certainly is a huge contrast between these two fences. I prefer the later!
