A Derelict Cook Stove

Bonnie has chosen "derelict" as the suggested theme for Photo Art Friday this week.  For my photo, I've chosen an image of an ancient wood cook stove.  It sits on the grounds of an old schoolhouse in the ghost town of Flora, Oregon (platted in 1897).  The edit involved a texture, the Orton technique, and some work with Picasa 3.  I rather like the colorful result!

What a cool old stove! It seems too bad that it's sitting outside getting ruined.

Wonderful piece. First that is a cool looking stove. How odd it's just sitting out in the open like that. - Your edit is really neat and I agree that the colors brought it to life in a special way.

Evelyn, that's a wonderful transformation of an already beautiful photograph. We have an old wood stove in our cottage, not quite that neglected though. It's great for cooking on when we have to heat the cottage on cool fall days.
