Be Still Week 50 "Stillness"
I'm late, but I completed the assignment. In fact, I am pleased with the images I managed to create this time. Light is always an issue for me; unless I'm willing to move a coffee table and heavy couch, set up a table, etc., my still life projects are all in front of a narrow window. It doesn't take much imagination to see that the light always comes from the right -- to have it come from the left would require some serious wiggling and adjustments between a bed and a wall. So the light source is at the right.

Be Still_52: Four Things--A Collective Prompt
A loaf of bread, linen, twine, and scissors...
(I would truly prefer to use Lightroom, but I still haven't dedicated the time to learn it.)

A Nature Walk
It's Week 14 of Be Still_52, and we were asked to visit nature for our still life subjects. Wading through the tall grass of a small pasture behind my sister's house, I picked up some pine cones, dead weeds from last season, and a pretty branch of spirea. I set up my still life on an old fence.

Orange Tulips for Be Still_52
I'm still working on some earlier "assignments" -- this time, it's both side light and photo "props." I almost forgot about these vibrant tulips because I bought them the same time as the blue hydrangeas; the latter flowers were my focus for a few days. Regarding props, I purchased two very light cheesecloth colors from an online background site and used the gray cloth for this image. The texture is "orange blossom" from Flypaper textures. Additionally, I'm joining with Madge Bloom's Weekly Top Shot....somehow, I "lost" Madge's great meme in the past several months. I'm happy to have "found" her again.
